Joyce Schaer-Spamer
2008 School Advisory Council Nominee
Joyce Schaer-Spamer and her husband, Ken, have two children at St. Thomas - Michael (5th) and Philip (1st). Joyce is a Senior Vice President for Evergreen Investments, LLC and has had over 19 years experience in sales and marketing in the financial services industry. Joyce believes her experience could be applied in areas such as fundraising and communication initiatives for STA.
Joyce believes that the fast-paced growth that we are experiencing at STA is a direct reflection of the favorable reputation of academic excellence in a strong faith-based environment that we have worked hard to earn. Her vision over the next five years is to support the administration with initiatives that will help protect and further our reputation. In order to do this, Joyce feels we need realistic budgeting, ongoing implementation of the facilities and technology improvement plan, and frequent communication to families regarding fundraising efforts.
Joyce has been serving on the School Advisory Board for the past three years. One of those years she served as vice-president and another year as secretary in addition to chairing numerous committees. She has served on the Capital Campaign and as a Class Ambassador for the GAP drive.
