Amy Heitzman
2008 School Advisory Council Nominee
Amy Heitzman and her husband, Brandt, have two children, Hannah and Hayden, one of which attends STA: Hannah (Kindergarten). Amy works in the area of education and is the Director, Continuing Studies at SMU. She has a masters degree in both art history and education; her area of specializations includes education and technology. She also has marketing, community engagement and leadership experience.
Amy's vision for STA over the next five years is to see St. Thomas Aquinas School engaged in our community in myriad ways - as curricular leader, as an accessible educational institution, and as an example of a modern vital component of our parish. For her, Catholic Education is a thoughtful balance of sacramental life with a critical, engaging approach to a full curriculum of subjects. Teaching and learning in a Christian environment, Catholic Education is mindful of our obligations to God, to one another, and to our society as a whole.
Amy is active parent of an STA kindergarten student, and Daisy Girl Scout troop volunteer.
