Scott Moore
2008 School Advisory Council Nominee
Scott Moore and his wife, Laura, have two children (Catherine and Hayden), one of which attends STA: Catherine (Kindergarten). Scott is a Certified Public Accountant and has been practicing for almost 20 years. He has extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, accounting systems and controls, and tax matters. He has also gained valuable experience as a member of the Boards of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center where he has served in roles such as Treasurer, Audit Committee Chair, and Board Chair. He would like to give his time and experience to assist STA as it makes challenging financial decisions that will impact its future and the education of our children.
Scott's vision for STA over the next five years is to make wise and prudent decisions with our limited resources. To fulfill the parish mission of placing education as one of its top priorities and honoring those who have gone before us to continue to provide a high quality education in a Catholic setting to all of the families of the parish. He would like to continue with this mission for the next five years and beyond with a focus on academic excellence and inclusion.
Scott is a member of the STA Knights of Columbus. He has volunteered at Carnival and other school activities.
