School Closings/Delays
School closings or delays in the start of the school day due to inclement weather will be the same as the DISD's. If classes in DISD are
cancelled or delayed due to weather-related circumstances, all classes
will be cancelled or delayed at St. Thomas Aquinas, including Preschool,
grades K-8 and before and after school care. Listen to Channel 5
(KXAS-TX) or Channel 8 (WFAA) television stations for announcements of
DISD closing/late opening of schools. The principal has the authority to
override DISD's decisions in special circumstances.
In special circumstances, announcements concerning school closings/late
openings will be made through RenWeb, the STA school website, e-mail
and/or the St. Thomas Emergency Calling Tree.
