STA Historical Information on High Schools:

St. Thomas Aquinas has kept historical data of high school applications and acceptances. Take a look.

Ravenna Online Application Process:

Ravenna is the name of the admission software many Dallas-area private schools began using in the fall of 2015. For the 2018-19 admission season, all Catholic high schools will be using Ravenna. You will create a profile at www.ravenna-hub.com. Here’s a summary of how the Ravenna application process works:

  • You will create a Ravenna profile; you will add your child to that profile; and you will identify St. Thomas Aquinas -- Dallas as your child's current school. (That last part is very important!)
  • You will select the school(s) to which your child will apply.
  • Ravenna will step you through the application process for each school you selected. Some of the data will be shared among all of the schools you selected, and some will be specific to each school. The high schools will not know which other schools your child has applied to. For example: If you select Bishop Lynch and Jesuit, BL will know you applied to BL, and Jesuit will know you applied to ESD, but neither will know you applied to the other.
  • If at any point during the process of creating an application via Ravenna you need assistance, please contact Ravenna at help@ravennasolutions.com. This information is also available on the admission pages of the schools’ websites.

Step-by-step instructions for Ravenna can be found here.

Community Service Hours:

A minimum of 30 hours of service (at least 10 hours for the community and 10 hours for the Church) is required for Confirmation and Graduation. Students interesed in applying for the National Volunteer Service Awards at the end of the school year will need a minimum of 50 hours. Please be sure to log your service hours on this timesheet

10 hours completed by October 5th

20 hours completed by December 14th

All 30 hours completed by January 26th

Scholarship Information:

Many of our graduates receive partial scholarships toward Catholic High School tutition. The scholarships, which come from the Catholic high schools, are based on the students' submitted applications, and do not require additional applications. Some are based on academic merit, and some are based on family financial need. Financial need based scholarships are contingent upon the completion/submission of a family's online FACTS application, and the determination of need.

St. Thomas Aquinas Church and School also has a number of organizations and private donors supporting graduating students with financial awards. Father John Libone, STA Booster Club, STA Parents' Association, STA Holy Name Society, The Pellegrini Family, The Madeline Limber Memorial, Knights of the Columbus #799, and St. Thomas Aquinas Parish each give annual awards. Timelines for those scholarships requiring an application will be communicated to students and parents closer to the deadlines.

Should your family require assistance with high school tuition, please contact Dottie Lucas, Jen Watts, or Joyce Limber. Also, if your family or organization is in a position to provide support to other students and you wish to set up and award a scholarship please contact Joyce Limber. Scholarships may be one-time or ongoing, named or anonymous, limited or unlimited to specific high school destinations, and/or based on the area you wish to recgonize (academics, service, athletics, fine arts).
