St. Thomas Aquinas School has changed the company that processes our financial aid applications from PSAS to FACTS Management. If you are currently paying your tuition monthly, you are already familiar with this company. If not, FACTS is the company that currently processes our monthly tuition payments.
In 2010 the Diocese began using FACTS to administer their financial aid applications. This has become very important with the establishment of the Charles and Elaine Sammons Tuition Assistance Fund for the School Year 2011-2012. This fund was established for the purpose of providing tuition assistance to parents who desire to educate their children in a Catholic elementary and/or secondary school owned and operated by the Diocese of Dallas or one of its parishes. Our families could be eligible to receive some assistance from this fund.
We here at St. Thomas have switched to FACTS to ease the financial aid process for our families. Now, by completing one application, you are evaluated to determine your level of need for both the STA school funds and the Sammons Tuition Assistance Funds.
For the St. Thomas funds, the requirements have not changed. As written on the tuition card, tuition assistance is available on a limited basis for families who are registered, contributing members of the parish for at least one year. (Please contact the Parish Office to determine your parisioner status.) In order to qualify for assistance, a completed form must be submitted online by March 10, 2011. Note that before your form can be considered complete, you must have submitted your completed 2010 tax return.
