The St. Thomas Aquinas Wildcats' 5th and 6th grade football teams secured berths for their respective Dallas Parochial League Championships this season. The 5th grade JV football team had a very successful regular season, finishing with an undefeated 8-0 record. STA's 5th grade Wildcats defeated the St. Monica Bearcats in the playoff semi-finals 34-12 to secure their Catholic Bowl participation, and cinched the DPL Championship with a win over the St. Rita Spartans, 7-0.
The 6th grade JV team finished the regular season 2nd in the East division, with a 5-2 overall record. After defeating the St. Rita Spartans 18-6 in the semi-finals, the Wildcats took on the St. Patrick Panthers in the Catholic Bowl. Despite very strong defense, the Wildcats were not able to hold off the Panthers and lost in a very close game, 8-0.
Congratulations to all our Wildcat teams for their efforts this season! We are proud of the tremendous athleticism and outstanding sportsmanship displayed.
