Catholic Math League:
Catholic Math League is a national math competition focused on generating student participation in, and excitement for mathematics. All students in grades 3rd-8th participate by completeing a written test 3-4 times over the course of the school year. Students receiving high qualifying scores are recognized and honored.
Continental Math League:
The Continental Mathematics League focuses on helping students improve their mathematics comprehension and problem solving skills. This national test is administered to all the students in the 2nd-8th grade. Students receiving high qualifying scores are honored with awards and recognized by St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School.
Participation in the Continental and Catholic Math Leagues strives:
- To stimulate enthusiasm and a love for Mathematics
- To introduce important Mathematical concepts
- To teach major strategies for problem solving
- To develop Mathematical flexibility in solving problems
- To strengthen Mathematical intuition
