Egyptian Day at STA

Sixth grade social studies students brought lessons to life this fall by transforming their classrooms into an oasis by the Nile. As a capstone to their unit on Ancient Egypt, an Egyptian Day gave students opportunities to make multimedia presentations, to participate in science experiments showing the effects of mummification, to examine the social hierachies and culture of the region and time period as well as to study hieroglyphics and cartouches.
