Rosalind Ratcliffe
Welcome 2A All-Stars! My name is Rozie Ratcliffe, though most students know me as Ms. R. I am very excited to be back for my fourth year at STA! I grew up right here in Dallas attending St. Rita Elementary and Bishop Lynch High School. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Elementary Education. Being from a Sicilian family, I love sitting around my family's kitchen table and visiting with my family and friends. I also enjoy traveling, sports (especially baseball) and going to the beach!
Second grade is a very exciting year, full of new experiences and discoveries. The highlight of our year is certainly receiving the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist for the first time. Students will also be strengthening their skills in all subject areas as they grow older and become more independent. My mission for each of my students is for them to feel right at home from the moment they step foot into my classroom. It is my experience that a child performs at his/her highest level of achievement when they feel comfortable in their environment. This is why I strive to build a foundation with my students based on teamwork, responsibility, and friendship. In order to be successful, we must all work together as a team!
