Kathleen Barr
Hello! I am Kathleen Barr. I am so excited to be a part of the STA family! This will be my second year at STA and my 33rd year of teaching. I have experience teaching second, third and fourth grades. I grew up in Dallas as part of a large family. I went to Holy Trinity and Ursuline Academy. I attended Stephen F. Austin State University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach children with learning differences and the gifted and talented, as well as a few other areas.
Second grade is an exciting year. Your child will grow spiritually as well as academically. Preparation for First Reconciliation begins in the Fall. First Communion will occur in May. I will challenge your child to learn as much as possible and enjoy the learning. It is my belief that children learn best in an atmosphere of mutual respect and love. My class is a family who will learn, laugh, and be enriched by all our experiences.
