I have been teaching at St. Thomas Aquinas for ten years. My experience includes thirty years of teaching and ranges from elementary to middle school. After teaching Language Arts and Literature as well as coaching at the middle school level, I developed an interest in technology as an important learning tool. This led me to attain an IT certification from SMU. St. Thomas opened the door for a new and rewarding path for me to teach students an appreciation for technology. It is exciting to see students discover new methods to find information, showcase their knowledge in new ways, analyze and make connections to accomplish various projects from Science to Math to Literature to Writing.
Originally from Lubbock, I attained my all-level teaching certification and B.S. degree from Texas Tech University. I began my teaching and coaching in Lubbock before moving to Ft. Worth in 1985 and on to Dallas in 1998.
I have been married for thirty years to my wonderful husband. We have a 9-year-old granddaughter who is the light of my life and my favorite hobby. I love traveling, reading, biking, exercising, sailing, kayaking and basically anything that involves the water.
I believe strongly in Catholic education and what it teaches our children. It is a privilege for me to be a part of the STA community.
