St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School has two campus located in the heart of Lakewood. Covering over 10 acres STA a Upper School campus covering 3rd – 8th grade and a Lower School campus teaching PK4 – 2nd. We are all one school and grow every day in FAITH, COMMUNITY, and ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE.

New LS Playground was funded by our amazing parents through the 2019 STAPA Auction.
One of our five PK classrooms includes many centers to encourage active play and tables for collaborative work.
Our PK students use this space to do art projects, have snacks, and much more!
The PK hallway is usually full of backpacks, lunch boxes, blankets, and of course nap mats.
Our four kindergarten classrooms transformed for COVID social distancing. The teachers normally use collaborative tables, centers, and colorful rugs for floor time.
The science lab is used by K-2nd grade students to reinforce concepts learned in the classroom through hands-on experiments.
The Lower School's two full-time reading specialists use the reading lab to support our students with learning differences and those needing extra reading help.
First and second grade students attend weekly Mass in the chapel. PK and kindergarten students attend prayer services.
The drama and music room hosts PK-2nd grade student performances and plays.
Our library contains thousands of books for all levels of early readers. Our parent mystery readers surprise classes throughout the year.
Students go to PE twice a week. The gym is also used for middle school volleyball and basketball practices in the evening.
The computer lab is used by K-2nd grade students each week with an emphasis on learning more about their digital footprint.
Our Upper School Campus
Welcome the Upper School!
Locate 4 miles of downtown, STA Church, and the Upper School campus spans over 10.5 acres in East Dallas.
The Upper School entrance is located on Kenwood Avenue.
The front desk is the hub of the Upper School. Students and parents always get a warm welcome from Mrs. Kappes.
The drama room is home to the best middle school musicals in the area and serves as a multipurpose room for school and church activities.
The Upper School gym hosts the 5th - 8th grade DPL sports teams and PE for all students.
The iconic checkered tile runs throughout the school. All students have lockers to store their coats, books, and a family picture or two.
Students enjoy checking out books, being a part of book club, or just spending some quite time in the US Library.
Our 3rd - 5th grade students apply what they learn in the classroom with hands-on experiments in the lab.
The Upper School has three science labs used by all grade levels to learn more about natural sciences, chemistry, and physics.
This 8th-grade classroom displays laptops provided to every middle school (6th-8th grade) student.
The playground is used every day by our 3rd and 4th graders. Behind the playground is St. Dominic building that serves as administrative offices.
