Below you will find answers to many of the questions that families ask during the admissions process.
How does STA's priority of application review work?
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School’s admissions cycle runs from November through January for the upcoming school year. For the 2026-2027 school year, STA will only accept applications for PK-5th grade. The application portal is NOW open until Thursday, January 15, 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
All applications must be submitted online. To apply, please visit staschool.org/admissions, create an account, and complete your child’s application.
Application Review Process
All completed applications will be reviewed in the following order (this order is not a guarantee of enrollment):
- Registered Catholic families at STA Church with children already enrolled.
- Registered Catholic families at STA Church applying for the first time.
- Catholic families from other parishes.
- Non-Catholic families with children already enrolled.
- Non-Catholic families applying for the first time.
- How competitive is admission to STA?
- Does STA have a birthdate cut off?
- Can I get on a waitlist?
- Does STA support children with learning differences?
- How does STA handle sibling applications?
- Is there a dress code?
- Do you accept immunization waivers/exemptions?
- Is there morning or after school care?
- When will we be notified of our child's admissions decision?
