New applications are submitted through an online application portal link. This portal will open on November 1, 2024 for the 2025-2026 school year. In the portal, parents will create student and family profiles, upload required documents, and pay the non-refundable application fee. 

Remember to bookmark the Application Portal page as applicant families will need to periodically log in and check the Admissions Progress Status link to see if any element is incomplete, has not been received, or requires additional action.

Alongside the online application, it is essential that your child's present teacher and current principal or director participate in an online referral process to complete the application. While filling out the application, you must provide the email addresses of both your child's current teacher(s) and principal/director. These educators will be asked to complete a confidential online survey, which will be directly submitted to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School. Please note that these Teacher Evaluations and Principal Recommendations are kept confidential and will not be disclosed to parents.

For applicants seeking admission in Middle School, it's important to submit referral information for both math and English. If your child has the same teacher for both subjects, you will need to input their information twice to ensure all necessary evaluations are obtained.

PK Group Observations

Our PK teachers are excited to meet all our preschool applicants for a small group observation time that include circle time, free play, and age appropriate classroom activities. 

K-7th Grade Assessments
Saturday, February 1, 2025
Students applying for K-3rd grade will test on the Lower School campus. All K-3 tests are orally presented and includes some paper and pencil activities to assess fine motor skills. In addition, we also assess applicants' language, reading, and math skills using materials that are developmentally appropriate for their age/grade level. These are fun activities and exercises to help us measure where your child is compared to our student body at this time during the school year. The tests are administered by our teachers who are familiar with the content and grade-level expectations. The test protocols for each student are reviewed by Lauren Roberts, Principal and Padmini Dayal, Counselor/Learning Specialist.

Students applying for 4th-7th grade, who do not take the ISEE or have NOT taken the IOWA/CoGAT this school year, will take the IOWA Spring Battery at the Upper School. Sign up and details will be in the email you receive after the application is submitted. The test will begin at 9am and finish at 10:30am. Extended time will finish at 11:15am.

Shadow Days
Tuesday, February 4 and Wednesday, February 5, 2025

Shadow Days are only for students applying for 4th-7th grade.

Shadow days are scheduled in the spring after applications are submitted and testing is complete.

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School always has the right to ask for a family interview as part of the application process.

The Admissions Checklist

Within the application portal is an admissions checklist indicating if all documents have been received and completed. Use the same login that you used to complete the application.

VERY IMPORTANT: Admission files that are incomplete as of February 10th will not be reviewed. This includes Catholic baptismal certificates, current teacher evaluations and principal recommendations, and up-to-date immunizations.
