We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our students can achieve their highest potential. In order to be successful in school, we believe our children need support from both the home and school. This partnership is the difference and why we are #STAstrong!
We realize there is a great deal of information in this guide as it is comprised of a combination of standard school protocols and procedures, as well as COVID-19 related policies to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and community. Please take some time to read all the information below and in the links so that we can all be as prepared as possible for this new school year.

We will review all protocols quarterly and will notify parents of changes via email.
Parents, please remember to fill out the Learning Model Selection Form before Friday, August 14. This form provides parents the choice of STA@Home or STA On Campus for Q1 (September 2 to November 6).We have also included a resource from the CDC to help parents with this important decision. Click here the CDC Decision Making Tools for Parents and Children's Hospital COVID-19 Back-to-school guidance.
The survey is now closed. If you would like to submit your selection please email email@example.com.

Students need more support than ever right now both academically and emotionally.
Social Emotional Support
STA has developed a three part reopening plan to help us open safely when it is time.
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and School is a strong faith community centered in spirituality, prayer, and devotion to living the Gospel message. Our Catholic identity is woven into everyday life at school through the active involvement of students and the support and example of our parish priests, parents, administrators, teachers, staff, and alumni.
Our vision is to seek the light and hope of Christ in everything we think, say, and do.
Carpool has changed! Find out where you go to drop off and pick up your child(ren) on both campuses.
Your child may bring a lunch or you can pre-order box lunches with our food service caterer, Guess Who's Coming To Dinner.
Students are provided a fun and safe place to spend time after school. Space is still available.
We are dedicated to keeping you informed on current events, reopening phases, and protocols. Please take note of all the different ways STA provides up-to-date information.
Don't forget to read the WAAG every Friday afternoon!

The Diocese and the Dallas Parochial League have agreed to offer no sports for elementary schools (5th – 8th grade) in the fall of 2020. It is impossible to conduct practices and games, contact trace for COVID-19 positive tests, and keep students in their respective cohorts (homerooms) while also limiting possible exposure for students, volunteers, and parents.
The Spirit Store is open during the school year for all your STA Wildcat spirit wear needs. The store also stocks red and navy monogrammed polos, outerwear, and socks.
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School is a uniform school. Uniforms are purchased through Risse Brothers School Uniforms, the school Spirit Store, and the Used Uniform Sale.
The Parent/Student Handbook is a live document that changes as the Diocese and school administration implement and modify policy. Refer to policies and procedures at any time.
The teachers will need your volunteer support more than ever this year. However, volunteer opportunities will be limited this year to off-campus support and out-of-classroom projects/activities. Volunteer hour requirements will be reduced from 20 to 5 hours per family for the 2020 calendar year. Sign up geniuses will be sent out shortly after school starts with revised and new ways you can lend your support to STA.
St. Thomas Aquinas Parents' Association (STAPA) supports St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School throughout the year through volunteering, fundraising and building community. Share your time and talents by becoming an active member of STAPA.
Fathers of St. Thomas Aquinas or FOSTA provides boots on the ground for Upper School and the Lower School activities and initiatives and manpower for our STA Parents’ Associations events, all while joining in fellowship with other STA dads.
The Booster Club is an active group of parents, former STA athletes, coaches, and volunteers committed to the Wildcat athletics program through fundraising, supporting the athletic department, and promoting volunteerism and school spirit.
