Magee's Crew created and set up a booth at the 2018 STA STEM Fair. Interacting with students, parents, and other participants that attended our Upper School STEM fair, the Crew provided information the STA Bison Project, our very own Bison Magee, and the club's impact on conservation and the bison population.

What is Magee's Crew? A group of STA Upper School students who want to "Spread the Word, Help the Herd!"

Magee's Crew is for students who want to make a meaningful contribution to the preservation of the Texas State Bison Herd, and the conservation efforts which are underway at Caprock Canyons State Park.

Who can join? STA students in grades 4-8. The club is limited to 25 new members along with returning members.

What we do?
Lots of things! Such as:
Update our Magee's Club web page with news about Magee and Caprock Canyons
Create the background for the #stabisonproject mural
Judge the t-shirt design contest entries
Present a display at the STEM Fair
Celebrate Bison Magee's birthday (and ... maybe a baby shower?)
Welcome Superintendent Beard when he comes to speak at our school, and, hopefully, present him with a HUGE check, (Money raised by our Dollar Dress Day) And more ... (We're open to suggestions for other "Spread the Word" ideas!)

When do we meet? We'll have 2 monthly meetings which will take place during 3-6 grade lunch/ recess (Bring your lunch to the meetings, we'll eat together while we work.) Club members involved in various parts of the project will meet as needed to complete their work.
