Scholarship Opportunities
Through the generosity of our St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and School support organizations and families, STA provides a few scholarships for current and graduating STA students.
Deadline for all scholarship applications is Monday, April 10, 2023.
STA Students
Each year, scholarships are available from several organizations and families dedicated to providing financial aid to families in our school.
Holy Name Society
The Holy Name Society Scholarship will be awarded to a rising 6th grade student. The purpose of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church Holy Name Society Scholarship Fund is to provide one need-based scholarship to a rising 6th grader attending St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School for the 2023-2024 school year. The scholarship will assist with tuition costs for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in the amount of $4,500 annually for the three middle school years.
LSA Family Foundation
The LSA Family Foundation Scholarship provides one single-year, non-renewable scholarship of $5,000 to an STA family with 2 or more students in Catholic school and/or college to financially assist with STA tuition costs. The family must have at least one currently enrolled St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School student who is re-enrolled for 2023-2024, and at least one student in the family enrolled at a Catholic high school and/or college (full-time). The college student in the family does not need to attend a Catholic institution.
Graduating STA Students
Each year, there are scholarships available from several organizations and families dedicated to providing financial aid for students going on to Catholic high school. All applications are due by Monday, April 10th.
STA Booster Club
The STA Booster Club Scholarship provides 4 non-renewable $1,000 scholarships to 2 female and 2 male student-athletes who will go on to a Catholic high school in 2023-2024.
Mike Wurst Award
The Mike Wurst Award will be awarded to one graduating student attending Catholic high school who participated in DPL sports and also has a family member who coached during their time at STA.
STA Parents' Association
The STA Parents' Association Scholarships will be awarded to 8 graduating 8th grade students (4 female, 4 male) attending a Catholic high school in 2023-2024 based on applications that the students complete in class. This award is a $1,000 one-time scholarship. Nothing needs to be done at home.

Madeline Limber Light of Hope
The Madeline Limber Light of Hope Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating 8th grade student attending Ursuline Academy for the 2023-2024 school year. The Madeline Limber Light of Hope Scholarship is a $1,000 one-time gift paid directly to Ursuline Academy.
